Fly me to the Moon

This was a V-day gift for ~Ryu-SK.

These are ~Ryu-SK's RP characters Rin and Rei. A interesting couple with a bunch of tricks and weapons up there sleeves. I've actually grown to like these characters and it was a pleasure drawing them.

I kinda went a bit overboard with this one. At first when I started this I didn't plan to color this since I was doing this on 14x11 paper. It was gonna be more like a very detailed line art with lots or cross-hatching an' all that, but I got weak with temptation and colored the skin. I love coloring skin and so I was left with no choice but to color everything else.

Nonetheless it was still pretty fun working on this. Though I wish I kinda planned this one ahead since I felt I could have done better on making the color schemes more complimentary. Oh well there's always a next time. Overall I'm fairly satisfied with this work.

Rough Sketch: 4h pencil / 1 1/2 hrs
Line Art: Staedler, Copic Ink Liners (.05, .1, .3) / 4 hrs
Colors: Copic marker (/w some minor PS adjustments)/ 7-8 hrs
